Paul Rivera, the founder of Rivera amps, is well respected for his work at Fender in the early 1980’s in addition to his own line of professional tube amplifiers. Privately owned and operated, Rivera R&D was founded in 1976 and began to offer services for professional studio musicians as well as consulting for other companies. Rivera currently produces a wide range of amplification suitable for a number of styles.
Rivera amps are noted usually for their versatility, and several of Rivera’s models offer variations on traditional Marshall and Fender tones. These amps are available in a wide variety of tube and power configurations. Such models include the Clubster, Chubster, Fandango, and Quiana amplifiers. Rivera has recently added the celebrated Venus Class A amplifiers, which includes the Venus 3, Venus 5, and Venus 6 models.
