When B. Andrew Barta introduced the original Sansamp to the world after forming Tech 21 in 1989, everyone from major recording artists to studio musicians were astounded by the warm, analog tone that could emulate a wide variety of amplifiers with minimal fuss. As a direct recording solution, it was unparalleled and in a world of digital modeling, even today it is without peer as an analog recording device.
In 1996, Tech 21 introduced its Trademark series of amplifiers there fused the Sansamp preamp along with a robust power amp. With additions such as XLR direct out and Accutronics reverb, the Trademark series has been well received by a wide variety of gigging players as a reliable and toneful solution to expensive, heavy, and fussy tube amplification. Today, the Trademark 30 and Trademark 60 are still going strong.
