Founded by noted audio engineer Ken Kantor in 2008, ZT Amplifiers was born in the hopes of changing people’s perception of how solid state amplifiers could sound and what they could accomplish. The company’s first amplifier, the ZT Lunchbox, has turned many heads because of its warm, versatile sound and the fact that the amp looks like, well, a Lunchbox. At only 10 lbs, the original Lunchbox has become the dream amp for many guitar players tired of lugging around huge cabinets and weighty combos.
Since the introduction of the original Lunchbox, ZT Amplifiers has expanded to offer the larger Club amp (which offers reverb and more tonal control, yet still only weighs a comfortable 22 lbs) as well as the Acoustic Lunchbox, geared for acoustic guitarists as well as vocalists (offering a single XLR input).
Although they look more like toys than serious musical tools, ZT Amplifiers exists to convert skeptics into believers. Offering high powered amplifiers in affordable and portable packages help set ZT amps apart from the competition.
